it's called a journey but it's a basic photography course
The journey of photography “from the eye to the machine” It is an introductory and in-depth course on both the photographic tool and the image as a communicative language.
The place that will host the journey will be OfficinOff (via de Lillà, 71 – Scicli).
We are collecting memberships and interests in order to set the date of the first meeting.
As soon as there is the necessary number, the date will be communicated.
The path consists of 14 meetings of which 2 practical in the field e 4 practical on the PC, for a total of approximately 40 ore.

The objective of the photography journey is to try to restore its communicative power to the image, its expressive and narrative potential, not just figurative. It is therefore not a course that simply provides the technical elements to be able to use the photographic camera, but also and above all it will be a path that will navigate the waters of the image until reaching the port of the heart of Photography.
Each meeting will be divided into:
- a more notional-theoretical part to be able to learn the laws, the technique, the rules and good uses in photography;
- a phase in which we will discuss together images by the greatest photographers in history, but above all shots (their own or that of others) brought by the students themselves.

In summary, you will learn:
- get to know your camera
- to distinguish a target (focal length, macro, fixed, zoom)
- the depth of field (blurry and depth)
- manual exposure (ISO, speed, diaphragm)
- to manage the fire (autofocus, manual fire)
- the measurement of light
- the use of shutter speeds (freezing, blurry and panning)
- to read an image
- to develop a photograph taken in RAW with professional software and open source software
The journey will have an expected duration of approximately 4 months
The share, it can be paid in a single payment or in monthly installments.
The first eight meetings will be on Thursday from 18.30 at 20.30 weekly basis (day and time to be defined) and they will last 2 ore, the subsequent ones will be defined in progress.
